The Voyagers 2010 spring meeting will be held at the Dominican Center in McLean, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C. We will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and formal Voyagers programming will conclude with breakfast on Friday.

For those who wish to attend the Bowen Center Clinical Conference on Friday, (9:30-3:30) transportation and registration fees will be covered. Dr. Michael Kerr is speaking on "Distinguishing Between Functional and Basic Level of Differentiation."

As has been the practice, there will be family of origin groups, congregational case studies, theology and theory discussions, and Voyager's Night Out.

Presenters for this meeting are Joe Carolin and Susan Luff.

Father Joe Carolin was ordained to the Roman Catholic Priesthood in 1966, in the Diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He serves as Chaplain at the State Psycho-geriatric Center (South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain, Pa.) starting in 1978. He earned an MSW in 1972, and received a PH.D in 1980, from the University of Pittsburgh.

He studied at the Georgetown Family Center in 1974, followed by organizing a seminar on "Implications of Bowen Theory for Catholic Theology," with Dr. Bowen, Dr. Haught, and other students of Bowen Theory in 1987. Transcripts and papers of this event were published in 1990, called, Systems and Spirituality. Succeeding conferences on "Wisdom of the Ages," have focused on the topic of Bowen Theory and Spiritual/Supernatural Phenomena. This coming July 23, 2010, a one-day conference will be held in Gaithersburg, Maryland. It is reported that Father Joe did a eulogy at Dr. Bowen's funeral in October, 1990.
